Two-zeez Movies!

Okay! So today I'm not posting a piece of art that's mine but someone else's. My good friend John Gordon is producing a film called "Coyote Requiem". He needs a little help finishing it. So he started a "campaign to raise the last bit of money needed to finish this film and get it to festivals where they hope it will get picked up". He's not asking for much... JUST TWO BUCKS! WHAT? Craze! Starbucks doesn't have a latte that reasonably priced! That's not even a gallon of gas! Yes, just drop two bucks and get a film made!

World's Fiercest

I didn't get to do sketch crawl this weekend. Boo to me. Been busy gearing up for Designer Con. But I did take some time to watch Batman: Year One. Great Story but.... I never really read the comic so I guess I was expect a lot more action. But that's just me. I still love Bats! With that I got all hyped up with DC and did a little marathoning... Young Justice, JLU, Brave and the Bold, etc. So I decide that I wanted to sketch out my own version of "World's Finest". At least one that hasn't been done by DC or that I've seen on the interwebs. So I teamed up the most ruthless incranations of Bats and Supes! That's right... Azrael and The Eradictor!

Go Green!

Thought I'd take a break from drawin' the ladies to do some DC fan art. I recently watched the new Direct to Video animated Green Lantern: Emerald Knights and was inspired to draw my own GL Corps recruits. I don't have names for them yet but I will once I render them up. I know... I know... I still haven't rendered the Bat babes yet. I promise I'll have them all rendered before Comic Con! Ooo! If you guys are going to SDCC come say hi! I'll be at the Squid Kids Ink booth.

I Still Function...

I was inspired by my friend Dou Hong, while I was out in Rhode Island visiting her, to draw a robot. But not just any robot... A robot that "more than meets one eye"! So I decided to draw her as a Transformer animated style. Dou likes Transformers, interned for Hasbro, can draw like a beast, loves pugs and moos on occasion.
So Dou, my friend, this ones for yoos! For everyone else... Meet DOU-CEPTA-HONG!
I also wrote a little bio about my new creation but it's written in a strange form of Cybertronian Text... see if you can decipher it. I also plan to draw up her alt mode, so stay tooned for that!

Woot! A day off means I get to work on some personal stuff. I finally got to work on a skateboard graphic that will go to a certain Filipino Boxer. No he's not my uncle... My uncle plays pool... that's not true... but some other Filipino has an uncle that does that... maybe. Anyhoo, here is a sneak peak at the board graphic. I'll post the board when it gets printed. Bats Outta Hells Yeah!

So I finally decided to do some DC fan art and put to use some of my newly learned scribbling skills from my gesture drawing class (Big Thanks to my instructor Mark McDonnell ). What better way to show this but to sketch up my favorite Bat Babes... Barbara and Cassandra!
This is just a rough and I plan to add Gotham in the BG... maybe with a moon... and some super sexy lighting, just like Michael Bay or J.J. Abrams... J/K... I don't have any nice lens flare plugins for my apps.
It might take me a little while to render but I wanted to post the sketch up cuz I kinda liked how they turned out. And when that's done I hope to make a Sexy Supes team up!

T.K.OH!

Okay, okay. So things have been really busy and my blog is progressing slowly. Or maybe I'm just making up excuses. So this week I'm on vacation and hangin' out in the east coast. Spendin' QT with my friend Dou Hong and finishing some neglected personal art pieces.

So this is the 5X7 that will be included in the 10 Doh! figure by Squid Kids Ink. I'm still finishing up the main label. The concept is if Mac from "Punch Out" was a girl. Yeah, sick-oh, I tend to gender twist most of my favorite guy characters. I also wanted to make it look like a vintage fight poster... Um... well at least that's what I wanted it to look like.

I rendered most of the art in illustrator and add some texture on photoshop. I wish it was Tuesday when I posted this so that way I could say, "Happy Boobs-day" :) .... sorry.

But then out loud I said "Sure Pal, I'll do you a solid and drop some arts on your persons, post haste." Yes! It's here! The year of the Rabbit! I <3 drawing rabbits. How did the Chinese know? Anyhoo, I just finished this piece to help celebrate the New Year... Asian that is. I wanted to wish you and to all my friends (who celebrate the new year around this time) a Happy New Year. I'm also watching a documentary on Bruce Lee... I have no idea how that is related to the year of the Rabbit. Who cares! It's Bruce Lee! Whoot-Whoot-Wha-Cha! (Bruce Lee noises)

Bunny with Gunnies Returns

Okay! So I should have had 2 new bunnies for you guys to look at but instead I just did one. I'll try and finish a 2 bunny sketch this week. But in the mean time I hope you guys enjoy this new piece. I did the dirty sketch on my Ipad then printed it out and cleaned it up using a "Jet Black Design Pencil". I was inspired by a movie called Cat Shit One. The Japanese are Awesome!... and cute. :) ....mostly.

Scribbles and Grits

The Drawing Club is now one of my most favorite places to be. Only because I get to be surrounded by talented artist (some who are my friends), that inspire me and the themes are crazee cool to draw. So like I said last post... Week 2's theme was "True Grit"! Again I was slow but at least I got to clean up 4 of my dirty sketches while I was there instead of taking it home. The originals were on plain white paper but I wanted to doll them up a bit by photoshoping them on a piece of textured paper. And Yes! I need to post another bunny! or Two or Two-zees!

I was invited by my talented friend ,Kendra, to join her at The Drawing Club last Thursday. I thought it be a great way to brush up on my sketching skills and use my new ipad! Not to mention that the theme was "Maleficent" from "Disney's Sleeping Beauty" that night. Sweet!
So I went.
I got my ass kicked!
The following sketches are ones I did in 5 minutes... then 15 minutes... then I said screw it and cleaned up one of the 5 min. sketches at home. I plan to render it at a future time... Mcfly...wuh?! Anyhoo, I thought I'd embarrass myself into doing better this week at The Drawing Club by posting them on my blog. This Thursday the theme is "True Grit"! Should be fun. JEFF BRIDGES!
